剤担持体に対して現像剤蓄積部に蓄えられた現像
剤を補給する現像剤補給部材と、現像剤補給部材
により上記現像剤担持体上に補給され付着された
現像剤を所定の厚さに薄層化し、かつ所定の帯電
量を備えるように制御せしめる現像剤規制部材と
を有する現像装置において、上記現像剤規制部材
は、現像剤担持体上に付着された現像剤の帯電量
を均一化せしめる第1現像剤規制部材と、この第
1現像剤規制部材により帯電量が均一化された現
像剤を所定の均一厚さに薄層化し、かつ所定の均
一帯電量を備えるように制御する第2現像剤規制
部材とから構成されていることを特徴とする現像
装置。 2 第1現像剤規制部材および第2現像剤規制部
材は、現像剤担持体の表面上に接触されるロール
状部材からそれぞれ形成されているとともに、上
記第1現像剤規制部材には現像剤の帯電量を均一
化するように交流成分を有するバイアス電圧が印
加され、かつ、上記第2現像剤規制部材には現像
剤の帯電量を調整する直流バイアス電圧が印加さ
れていることを特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範
囲第1項記載の現像装置。 3 第1現像剤規制部材は、現像剤担持体の搬送
方向において現像剤補給部材の下流側に配置され
ているとともに、第2現像剤規制部材は、第1現

ともに、これに接触配置される現像剤補給部材お
