Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium having sufficient recording characteristics with a high C/N and high stability to a long-term storage and to a long-time reading, by holding a specific dyestuff having pyrocholine nucleus on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:In an optical information recording medium for recording, regenerating, or erasing with a laser beam, a dyestuff having pyrocholine nucleus shown by a general formula I is held on a substrate. In the formula, R represents a benzene ring condensed with hydrogen atom, halogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group, aryl group, or pyridine ring, R1, R2 respectively represent hydrogen atom, alkyl group, or aryl group, and Z represents an atom group having nitrogen atom or oxygen atom at an end of the bond which is required for completing a conjugated chain with nitrogen atom of pyrocholine nucleus. Furthermore, various types of antioxidants and singlet oxygen quenchers are used together for enhancing a reading durability. In this manner, the optical information recording medium having a high-stability dye recording layer capable of keeping sufficient recording characteristics for a long term can be obtained.
