Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a primary color magenta dyestuff for thermal recording having proper sublimating properties, good color forming properties, and superior shelf stability, by using a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A magenta dyestuff for sublimating transfer type thermal recording is shown by a general formula I. In the formula, X represents chlorine atom, methyl group, methoxy group, or trifluoromethyl group, and R represents substituted alkyl group, alkenyl group, or aralkyl group. This dyestuff is made a dyestuff ink, and a sublimating transfer body can be produced by applying the ink on a transfer substrate. The dyestuff ink is applied on the transfer body by a bar coater, a roll coater, a knife coater, a screen printing, a gravure printing, and others, whereby the sublimating transfer body is produced. The sublimating transfer body is a sublimating transfer body of a primary color magenta having proper sublimating properties, good color forming properties, and superior shelf stability.
