This torsion bar spring is normally provided along a chassis frame that extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body. The base end of an upper arm that supports the wheel at its tip is fixed to one end of this torsion bar spring, and an anchor arm is attached to the other end to prevent twisting of the torsion bar spring beyond a certain value. It is common that it is set to .

Since the reaction force of the torsion bar spring is received in one place, it is necessary to strengthen the structure of this part, which also imposes restrictions on the layout of the engine and transmission, and furthermore, the exhaust pipe There was also the drawback that flexibility could not be obtained in the arrangement of the parking brake cable, etc.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a chassis frame, which is provided along the longitudinal direction of a vehicle body (not shown). Although two chassis frames 1 are provided in parallel, only one of them is shown in this figure. A cross member support 2 is attached to the inside of this chassis frame 1, and supports one end of a cross member 3. The cross member 3 is provided inside the chassis frame 1 in a direction horizontally orthogonal to the chassis frame 1, and connects two parallel chassis frames 1 via the cross member support 2.

Rotatably supported. A hole 16 with a hemispherical upper part is provided at the tip of the anchor arm 6, and the hemispherical head of the anchor bolt 17 is engaged with the hole 16. A stopper bracket 18 is attached to the outside of the chassis frame 1 on the same vertical plane as the vertical plane passing through the center of the cross member 3, and the lower end of the aforementioned anchor bolt 17 is inserted into the stopper bracket 18. , are fastened with a nut 20 via a buffer body 19. Since the stopper bracket 18 is thus attached to the outside of the chassis frame 1, it becomes a separate member from the cross member 3. Note that 21 in FIG. 2 is a mount for supporting the transmission.

4 and the torsion of the torsion bar spring 4. Now, if the wheel 8 is displaced up and down, that displacement is transmitted to the torsion bar spring 4 via the upper arm 7, which is twisted counterclockwise in FIG. 3 to move the anchor arm 6 in that direction. There is a force that tries to rotate it. Therefore, the reaction force is received by the stopper bracket 18 via the anchor bolt 17, and also by the cross member 3 via the torsion burst stopper 15, and is transmitted to the chassis frame 1.
