Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an electrolytic capacitor having excellent high frequency characteristics and high temperature stability by employing driving electrolyte which dissolves as solute tetraalkylphosphonium salt of aromatic carboxylic acid in polar organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:Amides, lactones, sulfur compounds, ketones, esters or carbonates are employed as polar organic solvent, and solution in which solute of benzoic acid, alkyl benzoic acid, such as loluic acid, etc., tetraalkylphosnium salt of aromatic carboxylic acid, such as alkoxy benzoic acid of anisic acid, etc., is employed as the driving electrolyte of an electrolytic capacitor. Aluminum foil anode and aluminum foil cathode separated by a suitable separator made of paper or the like are employed, they are cylindrically wound as a capacitor element, which is impregnated with the electrolyte. Thus, the variation in an impedance in a high temperature load test (105 deg.C) can be reduced.
