an internal resonator comprising a cathode, a cylindrical internal anode disposed coaxially with the cathode, and a plurality of anode pieces protruding from the internal anode toward the cathode;
an external resonator disposed coaxially around the outer periphery of the anode; a slot provided along the anode that couples the external resonator and the internal resonator; and an anode at one end of the slot. a slot mode suppressor disposed in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the coaxial magnetron; and a pair of magnetic pole pieces disposed opposite to each other in the axial direction of the cathode to form a magnetic field in a working space around the cathode. A coaxial magnetron characterized in that a metal layer having a thermal conductivity higher than that of the magnetic pole piece is interposed in contact with the outer periphery of the magnetic pole piece on the side where the slot mode suppressor is disposed.
