Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out sampling processing of necessary signals for controlling a weld line profile by supplying an alternating current having downtime to an electromagnet formed of high-temperature superconducting material and oscillating an arc at a high speed to reduce influences of arc heat and spatters. CONSTITUTION:When the DC voltage is outputted from a welding power source 13, the arc 11 is generated between a wire 10 and an object 9 to be welded. At this time, when the alternating current having the downtime (t) is supplied from an electromagnet control circuit 14 to the electromagnet 5 provided along the direction of a weld line, an alternating magnetic field is generated on the arc 11 by said electromagnet 5. The arc 11 is oscillated in the direction to cross the weld line by said alternating magnetic field. Accordingly, since it is possible to oscillate the arc at the position separated from an arc generation part, the influences of the arc heat and the spatters can be reduced and its practicability is extremely enhanced.
