Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the weather resistance of a superconductor and to prevent generation of change in its quality after a lapse of time by providing a protection film with thickness of 0.1mum or more and with high weather resistance. CONSTITUTION:A temperature superconductor provided with a protection film with thickness of 0.1mum or more, which is composed of a material, for example, carbonate, oxide or at least one of their solid solubility of group IVa or group VIa element, and which is also composed of one of two or more than of AlN, Si3N4, SiC, Sialon, Al2O3 and the like. It is thus possible to prevent change in the quality of the superconductor after a lapse of time, and to improve the weather resistance and the resistance thereof against chemical products.
