Abstract
PURPOSE:To quickly obstruct abnormal lighting, and also, to prevent damage caused thereby, by controlling the abnormal lighting of a heater, based on a device for detecting directly ON or OFF of the heater, and executing its control separately from a regular temperature control, after a copying operation is ended. CONSTITUTION:When a heat lamp 15 is lighted abnormally even if a signal 'L' of turn-off is applied to the heat lamp 15, an input and an output of a comparator 42 and an output of an FF 43 become abnormal, and when one input of a comparator 45 exceeds a comparison voltage, an output of the compa rator 45 becomes 'L'. This fall signal is transferred to a relay circuit 31 through a driver 46, and turns off the circuit 31. When this circuit 31 is turned off, the corresponding contact is opened, and an electric conduction line to the lamp 15 is cut off. In such a way, at the time of holding after a copy operation is ended, whether the lamp 15 follows up lighting control signals of 'H', 'L', 'H'... or not is checked, and when 'L' is lighted, it is decided to be abnormal lighting and the electric conduction line 20 is cut off immediately, therefore, abnormal overheating of the lamp 15, and damage to other apparatus can be prevented even if a software of an MPU 32 does not operate normally.
