Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the deviation in the propagation time of the respective signals at the time of transmission of parallel signals down to a permissible value or below by suppressing the fluctuation in the optical path light of optical fibers to be housed in an optical cable to a prescribed value or below. CONSTITUTION:The plural optical fibers 2 attached with single connectors 3 at both ends are housed in the optical cable 1 of, for example, a single fiber assembly type and the fluctuation in the optical path length between the connectors 3 is kept at <=50cm. A fluctuation is generated in the length of the fibers 2 in the cable 1 by a difference in a lay ratio and the difference in the elongation rate by the fluctuation in the letting out tension of the fibers 2 at the time of production. The fluctuation in the optical path length of the respective fibers is, thereupon, actually measured and the mounting position of the connector 3 is so adjusted that the fluctuation is suppressed within the above-mentioned value.
