Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration in signal reception sensitivity by alternating and using the image side signals of an image rejection mixer.
CONSTITUTION: The pulse-modulated high-frequency signal generated by a signal transmitter 2 by a trigger signal TP from a synchronizer 1 is radiated via a duplexer 3 and an antenna 4 and is reflected by a target; thereafter, the signal is frequency-modulated by the local signal from a local oscillator 6 in the image rejection mixer 5. Two kinds of the signals SU, SV of the side band where the reflected wave outputted from the mixer 5 exists and the side band where the reflected wave does not exist are then transmitted to an alternating switch 11. The switch 11 alternates the frequency-modulated signals SU, SV by control of the gate signal TG from the synchronizer 1 and transmits the same as an IF signal SIF to a signal receiver 7. The reception video signal RV outputted from the receiver 7 is subjected to the sample hold 8 by the signal TG and is fed back as a gain control signal VC via a loop filter circuit 10 to the receiver 7. The gain control is thus executed.
