Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of a toner to a sensor surface of a sensor for detecting the amt. of the toner by forming a cleaning member in such a manner that the front end thereof projects from an agitating member so as to come into contact with the sensor surface. CONSTITUTION:A toner container 1 is freely rotatably mounted with a horizontal revolving shaft 3 passing the front of the sensor surface 2a in the container 1. The planar agitating member 4 made of a material such as metal having rigidity is fixed to the shaft 3. The planar flexible cleaning member 5 for the sensor surface is fixed onto the member 4 and the front end of the member 5 projects from the member 4 in such a manner that said end can come into contact with the sensor surface 2a. The adhesion of the toner to the sensor surface is thereby surely prevented.
