Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a self-correction of a belt meandering, by having a constitution of engaging a swinging lever and a follower roller freely and swingably to fixed shafts and an arranging to change the follower roller angle in accordance with the swinging angle of the swinging lever. CONSTITUTION:With fixed shafts 6, 7, a swinging lever 8 is engaged with a follower roller 4 supported with a supporting material 5 freely and swingably. When a belt 1 approaches to an arrow (a) direction and a belt side surface abuts to a roller 10, the roller 10 tends to run away to the direction which keeps away from the center line of the belt, i.e. the (b) direction in which the straight line linking the shaft 7 with the center line of the roller 10 makes a right angle with the belt carrying direction. Then, the supporting material 5 of the follower roller in its turn, the follower roller 4 inclines to the opposite direction by the amount corresponding to the swinging lever 8 with a projection 8a of the lever 8. Accordingly, as the belt receives force to the opposite direction of an arrow (a) during carrying, a meandering of the belt is corrected.
