Abstract

PURPOSE: To further improve a silencing effect while the increase in size of a silencer, backward movement and sideways projection are held down to the utmost by disposing a sub-chamber provided in parallel to the silencer below a seat. CONSTITUTION: A backward branch pipe 27 is connected to an exhaust pipe 23 near the front of a silencer 24, and a sub-chamber 28 is connected to the rear end of the branch pipe 27. The sub-chamber 28 is shaped like a bottomed cylinder having the rear end closed, and such a chamber 28 is disposed below the silencer 24 in substantially parallel thereto. The sub-chamber 28 provided in parallel to the silencer 24 on the exhaust pipe 23 is thus arranged below the silencer 24, whereby even if the capacity of the sub-chamber 28 is increased to improve a silencing effect, it is possible to hold down the increase in size of the silencer 24, the backward movement and sideways projection to the utmost like the serial arrangement, and further the weight balance is concentrated on the center.
