Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep the oxygen enriched air utilized ultimately by a patient to be comfortable even though excess moisture is contained in the atmosphere by transferring the remaining moisture in the oxygen enriched dehumidified air discharged from a drain separator to the oxygen enriched air before dehumidification through a dehumidifying membrane module. CONSTITUTION:In the oxygen enriching device in which the oxygen enriched air obtained at the oxygen enriching membrane module 1 is drawn by a vacuum pump 2 and cooled by a gas cooler 4 to condense the moisture and the condensed moisture is removed by the drain separator 5, the oxygen enriched air after drain separation is heated through a gas heater 6 utilizing the waste heat of vacuum pump 2, and then introduced to a primary side I of the dehumidifying membrane module 3 to be dehumidified a secondary side II of which is connected to the suction side of the vacuum pump 2, and is supplied to a patient from an oxygen enriched air outlet 8. The moisture permeated to the evacuated secondary side II is transferred to the oxygen enriched air before dehumidification and is sent again to the drain separator 5.
