Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of a passage between membranes and to increase the permeation rate of permeated water by providing a beam-shaped member extending in the winding direction in the permeated water passage in the title spiraled membrane module to be used for a membrane separator. CONSTITUTION:A water collecting pipe 1 is pierced with the openings 1a for allowing the inside of the pipe to communicate with the outside, and a separation membrane 3 is wound on the periphery through a corrugated spacer 2. Raw water passages 4a and 4b are formed on both surfaces of the spacer 2. Raw water is passed through the passages 4a and 4b in the membrane surface direction, permeated through the separation membrane 3 on the way, and sent into a permeated water passage 5. The beam-shaped member 7 extending in the winding direction of the separation membrane 3 is provided in the passage 5. Many recesses 2a for holding the beam-shaped member 7 are provided at the top of the corrugation of the spacer 2. As a result, since the compressive strength of the spacer 2 is high, the collapse of the corrugation can be prevented. In addition, the permeation rate is increased, since the flow is disturbed by the spacer 2 along with the beam-shaped member 7.
