Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the dislodgment of an uncoupling rod by forming an external thread part to the position of the uncoupling rod positioned in an index tube and forming an internal thread part to the through-hole of a spud. CONSTITUTION:This mechanism for driving control rods is so constituted that the uncoupling rod 101 is first mounted to the spud 13. Namely, the uncoupling rod 101 is passed successively through the through-hole 19 of the spud 13 from a guide 102 for insertion of the top end of the rod. The external thread part 103 on the rod 101 side is then screwed into the internal thread part 105 of the through-hole 19 and is passed therethrough. From this point on, the rod is inserted until a flange part 108 engages with the top end edge of the through- hole 19 from above. The pull out of the rod 101 is impossible unless the screwing of the internal thread part 103 of the rod 101, and the external thread part 103 of the through-hole 10 as well as the internal thread part 105 of the through-hole 19 is executed to the prescribed extent even if the uncoupling rod is going to be pulled out during the process of, for example, transportation.
