Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a large operating range and reduce variation in frequency due to a posture by providing two sets of parallel links placed in parallel for transmitting a motor power via first to third links and forming an angle between both first links in a specific value. CONSTITUTION:A motor torque is transmitted by means of two sets of parallel first and second parallel link mechanisms 2, 2', i.e., via their first links 2a, 2a', second links 2b, 2b' and third links 2c, 2c' to drive a second arm 4. Also, the angle (x) between the links 2a, 2a' is set as, 0 deg.<x<180 deg., and the links 2c, 2c' and arm 4 are integrally formed. Hence, it is possible to drive the arm 4 by means of the link mechanism 2' even with a point for which the links 2a-2c of the link mechanism 2 are aligned in a straight line. Further, the operating planes of the link mechanisms 2, 2' are mutually different parallel planes, without interfering with each other even when the two links 2b, 2b' are in positions to be mutually superposed, obtaining a large operating range. And, by using two sets of parallel link mechanisms, the variation in natural frequency due to a posture can be reduced, while by setting the angle between the first links 2a, 2a' at 90 deg., the variation in frequency can be minimized.
