Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the local shortage of a visual field by forming the image of a light source into an image near the pupil of a projecting lens by a condenser lens and forming an aperture limiting element arranged near the image of light source into the image near an observing point where two pieces of information are observed. CONSTITUTION:The image of the light source 71 is formed near the pupil of an image-formation lens 3 and a rectangular aperture limiting element 20 is arranged near the pupil. Luminous flux passing through the image-formation lens 3 is made incident on a hologram lens element 5 on a transparent substrate 4 as the divergent light. The hologram lens element 5 is set so as to work as a concave mirror and the aperture limiting element 20 is formed into the image with the image of the light source 71 near an observer 10. On the other hand, the image of a display element 2 is formed as an aerial image 21 by the image-formation lens 3, and the image 21 is displayed as a virtual image 22 which is enlarged in the distance with the action of the hologram lens element 5. Thus, the luminous flux which is made incident on the condenser lens 72 is all led near to the observer 10 with the aperture limiting element 20.
