Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming method eliminating the need for fixing and meeting high-reliability and high-printing quality also, by a method wherein, an ink is emitted from a gel film by applying a local electric field to the gel film, and the emitted ink is transferred to a body to be printed. CONSTITUTION:On an anisotropic conductive substrate 1, a gel film 2 of acrylamide absorbing a water-soluble ink is formed with a a thickness of the order of 1-50mum, and thereon a porous hydrophobic film 3 and a conductive film 4 are formed in order. The gel film 2 is prepared by a method in which; a tetramethyl ethylenediamine and an ammonium persulfate are added to a solution of a 1:1 ratio of 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid and N,N- methylene-bisacrylamide in a demineralized water to be produced in film form by polymerization, and the obtained film is hydrolyzed by being dipped in a liquid of having a pH of the order of 12. Next, a voltage 8 is applied between the conductive film 4 and an electrode 7. Then, an ink 9 is emitted from the gel to a position of a positive electrode corresponding to a negative electrode of the electrode 7, thus being transferred to a paper 5 to form an image 10.
