Abstract

PURPOSE: To synthesize a voice to be approximate to practical vocalization by preparing the syllable pattern of a syllabic nasal 'n' by the consonant sections of syllable patterns of 'na' and 'ma' columns. CONSTITUTION: An operator's voice is patterned by an input part 1 and divided into different syllables, which are inputted to a syllable template dictionary part 2. The voice pattern is stored in the dictionary part 2 and a specified section is extracted by a consonant section extracting part 7. An average value calculating part 8 individually calculates the average values of the 'na' and 'ma' columns in the whole picture values of the input voice waveform and stores these average values in a syllabic nasal pattern dictionary part 9. Then the patterns stored in the dictionary parts 2, 9 and a reference pattern stored in a word dictionary part 3 are inputted to a synthetic pattern preparing part 4. The preparing part 4 prepares a synthetic pattern 'n' from the consonant sections of syllable patterns of the na" and 'ma' columns in the input patterns in accordance with a rule of a syllabic nasal pattern selection rule part 10 and stores the prepared synthetic pattern in a synthetic pattern dictionary part 5. The synthetic pattern is made approximate to a voice to be allocated by a pattern allocation part 6. Consequently the probability of collation with the input voice in the collation part 6 at the time of recognition can be improved.
