Abstract

PURPOSE:To make efficient use of space and to achieve miniaturization, in a device wherein every air-conditioner element is arranged in a common frame, by providing compressors in the interior of a return air chamber into which circulating air from the passenger room of a vehicle is taken in. CONSTITUTION:A high-pressure high-temperature gas refrigerant discharged from compressors 2 having been arranged inside a return air chamber 7 enters condensers 3, wherein it is cooled and liquefied by a condenser fan 4, and then after having been reduced in pressure via an expansion means, it enters an evaporator 5. And wherein, when the refrigerant evaporates, it cools ambient air being supplied by an evaporator fan 6. On the other hand, the refrigerant itself is gasified and is circulated back to the compressors 2. The air cooled by the evaporator 5 is supplied to a passenger room through a cool air discharge port 14 and a duct 10. The air inside the passenger room, passing through a filter 9 by the operation of an evaporator fan 6, via a circulation air port 13, is supplied to the evaporator 5 through the space around compressor fitting frames 8 having been arranged in a return air chamber 7.
