Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve yield and production efficacy by superposing a narrow flat sheet material on a thin and broad flat sheet material and joining the materials by light-draft rolling to form a thin sheet having an irregular section, then subjecting the sheet to shape setting by means of rolls provided with grooves. CONSTITUTION:The thin and broad material Sb and the narrow material Sc are superposed and are joined by the light-draft rolling M1 of <=5% draft to form the thin sheet having the irregular section in which the thickness of the thin part is 0.1-0.5mm, the thickness of the thick part is 3-5 times the thickness of the thin part, the overall width is 50-150mm, and the width of the thick part is 1/4-1/2 of the overall width. The sheet is then subjected to shape setting by a rolling mill M2 for shape setting. The yield is improved and the production efficiency is improved by this method.
