Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of inclination due to rolling, pitching, etc., without using any calibrating circuit by setting an electrolyte crossing the center of a short cylindrical liquid reservoir chamber. CONSTITUTION:The liquid reservoir chamber 8 is formed in a case 2, a partition plate 14 which is shorter than the diameter of the chamber 8 and divides reservoired liquid into two is provided, and the reservoired liquid 10 is charged here. Then the liquid is set to such a flow rate that the liquid level crosses the center of the chamber 8 and counter electrodes 20a and 20b are formed on both flanks of the chamber 8 across the liquid 10. The electrodes 20a and 20b are therefore divided equally into two about the plate 14. Consequently, if the liquid surface of the liquid 10 slants, the area of contacting the electrodes 20a and 20b varies so that the contact area of, for example, the right counter electrode increases, the contact area of the left electrode decreases correspondingly. Therefore, impedance variation or capacity variation obtained corresponding to the inclination of the whole inclinometer 1 has linear characteristics.
