Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in mold release and resistance to adhesion to a core wire during the production of a cable, by adding an N,N'- alkylenebisamide to a silicone rubber composition containing an organopolysiloxane and a curing catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A silicon rubber composition prepared by adding an N,N'- alkylenebisamide (e.g., N,N'-hexamethylenebisstearamide) to a silicone rubber composition containing an organopolysiloxane (preferably, one having a linear molecular structure, particularly preferably, one whose molecular terminals are blocked with triorganosilyl or hydroxyl groups) and a curing catalyst (e.g., benzoyl peroxide). This composition is excellent in mold release, can be easily released from a mold after molding, and can effectively resist to adhesion to a core wire when the core wire of a cable is coated with it.
