Abstract

PURPOSE:To crumple a cloth by buckling the cloth pushed out through a roll by means of the resisting force against the pushing force. CONSTITUTION:A material to be processed 11 is grasped by rolls 1, 2 and advanced into a pressure filled box 10 formed with doctor boards 5, 6 where it is crumpled. Then it is separated from the surface of the rolls 1, 2 by means of the doctors and advanced along the surfaces of the doctor boards 5, 6 toward an outlet. The roll 2 is supported on a supporting arm 4 having a supporting point 3, while the doctor board 6 is secured onto a supporting arm 8 which is supported on the shaft of the roll 2 with constant positional relation being held with respect to the roll 2. Bearing of the roll 1 and the doctor board 5 are secured onto a bed 9.
