Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain decreased optical strains and excellent optical uniformity by comprising a titled material with a mixture of polyphenylene ether and polystyrene resin and constituting the mixture of specific mol. wt. ratios and weight rations relative to each other. CONSTITUTION:This material is formed by using the mixture composed of the polyphenylene ether having 40,000-70,000 weight average mol. wt. in terms of polystyrene and the polystyrene resin. The ratios of the respective mol. wt. are expressed by the formula I and the respective constitution ratios are expressed by the formula II. In the formula I, PPMw denotes the weight average mol. wt. in terms of polystyrene and PsMw denotes the eight average mol. wt. of the polystyrene resin. In the formula II, PP denotes the constituting weight of the polyphenylene ether and Ps denotes the constituting weight of the polystyrene resin. The noise level based on double refraction is thereby lowered and the generation of the noises based on optical uniformity is reduced.
