Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently remove iron ions by allowing chelate resin having a sulfonic acid group to contact inorganic salt bath containing iron ions. CONSTITUTION:Chelate resin having a sulfonic acid group is obtained by adding aqueous formalin solution and phosphorous acid, hydrochloric acid for reaction. The chelate resin obtained is brought into contact with inorganic salt bath containing iron ions so that the iron ions are selectively adsorbed. Thus the adsorption equilibrium density of the iron ions is caused to reduce for the increase of industrial value.
