Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a wall membrane having improved heat resistance, water resisting property, and oil resistance, with smaller exposed portion, by mixing aqueous medium in which a small quantity of a specific urea-formalin resin is made to coexist with hydrophobic fine powders so as to produce microcapsule. CONSTITUTION:Microcapsule having membrane material thereof composed of urea-formaldehyde resin and core material thereof composed of hydrophobic fine powders is produced by mixing aqueous medium in which a small quantity of urea-formalin containing methylene bond is made to coexist with prepolymer obtained by methylol formation of urea-formaldehyde with hydrophobic fine powders. If a small quantity of methylene resin is present when the hydrophobic fine powders are thrown in, the methylene resin will attach preferentially to the hydrophobic fine powders to effect surface activity, with the result that dispersibility of fine powder is improved, so that uniform wall membrane is formed around the fine powders, thereby preventing scales from attaching to reactor surfaces.
