Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled cosmetic having peripheral vasodilating action, blood flow increasing action and metabolic activity promoting action and exhibiting excellent effect to prevent falling off of hair, by compounding adenosine triphosphate or its salt. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic is produced by compounding adenosine triphosphate or its salt in combination with a surfactant, an oil, a moisture- retainer and/or thickener, etc., and, as necessary, a preservative, an ultraviolet absorber, a perfumery, etc. The base medium for the cosmetic is hydrated alcohol or water. The amount of the adenosine triphosphate to be compounded is 0.0001-5wt.%, preferably 0.001-3wt.%. The pH of the adenosine triphosphate is preferably adjusted to 6-8 with a neutralizing agent such as ammonia or sodium hydroxide from the viewpoint of stability. The preventive effect of the active component can be further improved by the combined use of a hair- tonic component such as carpronium chloride.
