Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance a frequency characteristic, especially a highfrequency characteristic, of an aluminum solid-state electrolytic capacitor without increasing its size by a method wherein manganese nitrate as an electrolyte is pyrolyzed at a temperature of 200-260 deg.C for a duration of 20-40 minutes and manganese dioxide is formed as a solid-state electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of aluminum foil is used as a sheet of anode foil 1; a sheet of Manila paper as a separator 3 is sandwiched between the sheet of anode foil 1 and a sheet of counter cathode foil 2; this assembly is wound to form a cylinder; a capacitor element 10 is formed in such a way that the sheet of anode foil 1 and the sheet of cathode foil 2 where an oxide film has been formed on the sheets of aluminum foil and the separator 3 between both sheets of electrode foils are wound. Then, the capacitor element 10 is impregnated with manganese nitrate and is pyrolyzed in the air at a temperature of 200-260 deg.C for a duration of 20-40 minutes; a manganese dioxide layer as a solid-state electrolyte is deposited and formed. By this setup, it is possible to prevent a solid electrolytic capacitor using a wound capacitor element from becoming large-sized; an impedance characteristic at a frequency of higher than 500kHz can be improved.
