Abstract
PURPOSE:To cut unnecessary segments and to attain the automatic edition of tapes by recording specified codes controlling a tape travel mode, reading and controlling the codes on the side of a slave unit. CONSTITUTION:A code corresponding to a start position (a) and that corresponding to an end position (b) are generated. At the time of reproduction, the tape on the side of a master unit, which has been recorded in the master unit 1, is reproduced and the codes corresponding to the positions (a) and (b) are outputted fro a serial code origination part 1b to the slave unit 2 by serial codes. The codes are identified for mode controlling on the side of the slave unit 2, whereby unnecessary parts B and D recorded in the tape on the side of the master unit, and the contents of A, C and E are recorded in the tape on the side of the slave unit. The controlled result is fed back through a terminal 4 by the mode control part 1a of the master unit 1. By recording the specified codes in the control track of the tape on the side of the master unit and previously specifying the unnecessary parts, the automatic edition of the tape is attained without by a manual.
