PURPOSE:To achieve a work of measuring the density of a density pattern recorded in a photosensitive material efficiently and accurately, by making the size of a gap slightly larger than the thickness of the photosensitive material being conveyed therethrough as formed by a set of guide members. CONSTITUTION:A film A is conveyed with a first roller couple 88 for conveyance and a second roller couple 90 for conveyance composing an image density measuring mechanism 76. An upper guide plate 94 and a lower guide plate 96 are arranged with a specified gap made between the roller couples 88 and 90 for conveyance. The size of the gap as formed by the upper guide plate 94 and the lower guide plate 96 is selected to be slightly larger than the thickness of the film A being conveyed, thereby securing the flatness of the film A with smooth conveyance thereof.
