Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a plate material stacking apparatus, in which a recess is formed at the lower end of the sliding surface of a chute, whereby plate materials can be stacked automatically and correctly.
CONSTITUTION: At the lower end of the sliding surface of chute 9, there is formed a recess 9a, with distance W between the lower end of chute 9 and speed reducing plate 10 being 70W80 % of the length of plates 1b to be stacked, step X being 20W 30 % of the length of plates 1b, clearance Y between the lower end of speed reducing plate 10 and the bottom surface of recess 9a being 2W3 times the thickness of the plates 1b, and sliding distance Z being 1.1W1.2 times the length of plates 1b. With such an arrangement, plate material 1b carried on carrier belt is slided down along chute 9 and comes into abutment with said speed reducing plate 10, thereby reducing the sliding speed of plate material 1b through deflection of the plate 10.
