Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain data transmission at high speed and high quality by providing a cal antenna radiating a call signal over a wide area to a ground stationary station and a data antenna applying data transmission/reception with mobile stations existing in a narrow area in the wide area. CONSTITUTION:A ground stationary station radiates a call signal from its call antenna 1 over a wide area 2 and uses a data antenna 4 to apply data transmission/reception with mobile stations 7, 8 in existence in a narrow area 5. A signal representing the implementation of data communication is supplied to a mobile antenna 12 of a mobile body by the said call signal and the mobile station receiving it apply data communication with the antenna 4 only under condition that the station is located in a narrow area 5 to be covered by the antenna 4. Moreover, the mobile station receiving the call signal moves while radiating an identification data and data communication between the antennas 4 and 12 is applied only when the antenna 4 receives the identification data. It is preferred that the antenna 12 is an upward beam antenna and the antenna 4 is to be a downward beam antenna.
