Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the operation of two antenna elements as two antennas at FM TV band and as one antenna at AM reception, by inserting a choke coil between the two antenna elements. CONSTITUTION:A rear glass 1 is provided with a defogger conductor 2, antenna elements 3, 5, feeding points 4, 6 and a choke coil 9 inserted between the terminals 7 and 8 of the elements 3 and 5. In FM TV band, the impedance of the choke coil 9 is a great value, the elements 3, 5 act as independent antennas, and the signal of high level is selected from the two reception signals to prevent fading. On the other hand, in the reception of AM, the impedance of the choke coil 9 is a small value, the elements 3 and 5 are connected with the choke coil 9 as one antenna and the effective height is greater for sufficient sensitivity.
