Abstract

PURPOSE:To save the number of components while suppressing power consumption low by connecting a light emitting diode in parallel with a series circuit consisting of a photo transistor(TR) detecting a light and the 1st resistor, connecting one terminal of the diode to the power supply via the 2nd resistor and providing an amplifier TR driven by a voltage caused from the photo TR. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting diode (LED) 1 is connected in parallel to a series circuit comprising a resistor R5 and a photo TR 2, and the one terminal is connected to a power supply via a resistor R4. Moreover, an amplifier TR 3 driven by a voltage caused in the photo TR 2 is arranged to the output side of the resistor R5. That is, when an object to be detected moves between the LED 1 and the photo TR 2, the light is shut off and the photo TR 2 is turned off, then a voltage in excess of the saturated voltage is applied to a voltage Vbe between the base and emitter of the amplifier TR 3, then the amplifier TR 3 is turned on. Thus, the power consumption is reduced and the number of components is decreased.
