Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a mechanism small in size and high in accuracy, by providing lens supporting frames which support plural lens groups and can go back and forth in the direction of an optical axis, plural power converting mechanisms and a mechanism which transmits power to the power converting mechanisms from a driving source. CONSTITUTION:The main part of the titled zoom mechanism 1 is made up with the zoom frame 5 supporting a 1st lens groups L, a 2nd lens group supporting frame 4 supporting the 2nd lens group L2 and the driving and transmitting mechanism which transmits the rotation of a zoom driving motor 2 to a feed screw 11 through a series of gear trains and rotates them. Since in such a zoom mechanism, a zoom action is performed by means of non-circular gears, a finder part 26, a spool chamber 27, a cassette chamber 28, etc., can be designed to put them closely on a screen frame 25, compared with a case in which conventional cam tubes are used. Therefore, the entire camera can be scaled down, and no complicated, highly accurate control is needed.
