Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent blowing-up of engine revolutions and shocks likely to occur at the time of clutch engagement by furnishing a pair of clutches with two solenoid valves for generation of alternate signaling oil pressure, and thereby reciprocating a control valve for selective supply of oil pressure. CONSTITUTION:A start controlling solenoid valve 45 and a direct coupling solenoid valve 46 at the time of D running range generate No.1 signaling oil pressure P1 and No.2 signaling oil pressure P2, respectively. In sleeves 52, 53 of a clutch control valve 50 a spool 56 is energized to the left by a spring 57. When the two solenoid valves 45, 46 are switched, one of them repeats ON/OFFs for a certain period of time to change from the ON to OFF condition, while the other makes completely opposite changes. This together with the two signals being in inverted synchronization, causes the spool 56 to make reciprocations so as to supply oil pressure to a start clutch 20 and a direct coupling clutch 5 alternately. This avoids the condition in which the two clutches are disengaged, that will prevent blowing-up of engine revolutions and shocks in clutch engagement to ensure that clutch changeover is performed smoothly.
