Abstract

PURPOSE: To dry washed objects with hot air and to discharge vaporized moisture out of a system without deodorizing the solvent and without taking measures against air pollution by dry-cleaning washing objects with a solvent in a rotary drum, by performing the discharge of the solvent and the dewatering of the washed objects and then by rinsing the objects with water. CONSTITUTION: When dry-cleaning washing objects, this method is as follows: (1) throwing the washing objects into a rotary drum and pouring a prescribed quantity of a solvent into the drum while rotating it at a low rotational speed; (2) continuing dry cleaning for a prescribed period of time while circulating the solvent from the drum through a strainer and a pump to the drum; (3) discharging contaminated solvent out of the drum at the end of the dry cleaning, followed by rotating the drum at high speed to deliquor the washed object; (4) pouring water into the drum and rinsing the washed object with water while circulating the water in the same way as above to remove residual solvent in the washed object, followed by drying the washed object with hot air and by discharging vaporized moisture out of the system without taking any measures concerning the vaporized moisture.
