Abstract

PURPOSE:To supply moisture steadily to display effect of a ferric compound deodorant without dissolving the deodorant in the moisture by including the deodorant in a hydrophilic polyurethane. CONSTITUTION:A ferric compound deodorant is included in a hydrophilic polyurethane, for which an anionic polyurethane is used. It is preferable that the anionic polyurethane have a carboxyl group or a carboxylic salt group in its molecule and that its concentration be about 0.001-1.0 milli-equivalent/g. When the concentration of the carboxyl or carboxylic salt group is assumed to be A milli- equivalent/g, it is appropriate to contain 0.001XAXB-1.2XAXB milli-equivalent of the ferric compound in B g of a urethane resin. It is further appropriate to contain 50wt.% or more ethylene oxide units in the main chain. As it is possible to use a hydrophilic polymer in the solid form, moisture that enables the deodorant to exhibit its sufficient effect can be steadily supplied.
