Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve reproductivity on a color monitor by adding a correcting signal made of a signal including three-primary-colors components to a dot- sequential luminance signal and changing the ratio of respective R, G and B chrominance signals included in the dot-sequencing luminance signal. CONSTITUTION:By adding the correcting signal prepared from the signal to include the three-primary-color components to the dot-sequential luminance signal and changing the ratio of the signal component of R, G and B three primary colors included in the luminance signal, a correction is executed. Namely, a color difference signal is added by ratios (a) and (b) determined by amplifiers 12 and 13 and further, it is multiplied by a constant (alpha) determined by an amplifier 14. Then, it is added to the luminance signal. Thus, the reproductivity of red or blue can be improved by changing the ratio of the R, G and B three primary colors signal included in the luminance signal.
