Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the offset of a magnetic head due to the fluctuation of the relative height of a magnetic disk and a head arm by temperature change, by deflecting a spring at both sides of each magnetic head, and fixing both ends at a head arm with screws respectively. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head 1 is structured in such a way that it is positioned in the center of the spring 20 in a state where the magnetic head is floated by the elastic force of a leaf spring formed by the spring 20. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the magnetic head from being deviated in the radius direction of a disk which causes off-track only permitting the magnetic head to be moved in an up-and-down direction even when a relative distance between the head arm of a magnetic disk device and the magnetic disk by the thermal expansion of a constituent member due to the change of an ambient temperature or the rise of its own temperature, and to eliminate a fault due to the temperature change.
