Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the strength and thermal shock resistance, make this device lightweight, and rotate it at a high speed by coating a metal layer for generating X-rays at the portion receiving the electron beam radiation on the surface of a carbon-carbon fiber composite material. CONSTITUTION:A carbon-carbon fiber composite material is constituted of a carbon fiber bundle 1 bundled with carbon fibers and carbon (graphite) 2 buried between them. The coating 3 of W (tungsten) is applied in the electron beam radiation face for generating X-rays, and a center hole 4 to be inserted with a rotary shaft is provided. The carbon-carbon fiber composite material has high strength and withstands the high-speed rotation, no damage is applied to a bearing or the like at the high-speed rotation because it is lightweight, the thermal shock resistance is good, it can withstand the thermal stress even if a large current is fed for the high-speed heating, no fracture or crack is generated, and the workability is good. The strength and thermal shock resistance is thereby improved, this device is made lightweight, and it can be rotated at a high speed.
