Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to form an electrical conducting part for the upper and lower surfaces of a board, by inserting a connecting tool into the through holes of the board, and fusing the solder, which is applied on the surface of the connecting tool. CONSTITUTION:A pair of through holes 7a and 7b are provided by punching and the like on both sides of upper and rear conducting patterns 8 and 9 to be connected in a double-sided printed board 7 so as to stride the patterns 8 and 9. When the upper and rear conducting patterns 8 and 9 are electrically connected with a connecting tool 6, at first, the connecting tool 6 is bent in a U-shape. Then both ends thereof are inserted into the through holes 7a and 7b. Then, the parts of the connecting tool 6, which are extruded from the through holes 7a and 7b, are bent inward and temporarily fixed to the board. When another part to be mounted undergoes reflow soldering, the connecting tool 6 is heated. when a temperature higher than the fusing point of the solder is reached, the solder 6b, which is coated on a core material 6a, is fluidized. The solder is attached to the core material 6a and the upper and rear conducting patterns 8 and 9 by a capillary phenomenon with the aid of flux and the like. Thus, the core material 6a of the connecting tool 6 is soldered to the upper and rear conducting patterns 8 and 9 with its own solder 6b. In this way, the electric conducting part for the upper and rear surfaces of the board is formed.
