Abstract

PURPOSE:To forbid the generation of scumming as a titled printing plate has high mechanical strength and high hydrophilicity and to obtain printed matter having good resolution by using a specific copolymer as a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The copolymer contg. at least acrylamide, (meth)acrylate contg. an epoxy group and radically polymerizable org. acid respectively at 0.5-10wt.%, 0.1-10wt.% and 0.1-10wt.% is used as the binder resin. The acrylamide has the effect of improving printability and accelerating thermal curing but the electrophotographic characteristics are deteriorated if the content thereof is too high. The resin is hardly thermally cured and the deteriorated mechanical strength and printability are resulted if the ratio is too low. The (meth)acrylate contg. the epoxy group is a chief material for thermal curing. The resin is hardly thermally cured and the mechanical strength is deteriorated if the ratio thereof is too low. Unreacted matter remains and such matter is the cause for the deterioration with age if the ratio is too high. The resin is hardly thermally cured if the ratio of the radically polymerizable org. acid is too low. The electrophotographic characteristics are deteriorated if the ratio is too high.
