Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the same tractor feeder to be loaded on printer devices of different digits, by a method wherein, a shaft is expandably and contractibly inserted through a shaft, which supports a paper feed tractor and has a diameter different from that of the aforesaid shaft, and a paper guide is so constructed as to expand/contract simultaneously with the expansion or contraction of the shafts. CONSTITUTION:A round shaft 2 and a square shaft 3 are provided between support parts 1a, 1b on the both ends. Tractors 8, 9 are mounted near the both ends of the respective shafts. The shafts 2, 3 can expand/contract by sliding shaft parts 2b, 3b out of/into shaft parts 2a, 3a. On the other hand, a paper guide 7 is so constructed that a guide part 7b fixed to the support part 1b at one end thereof is slidably inserted into a guide part 7a fixed to the support part 1a at one end thereof. When a 136-digit tractor feeder is replaced by an 80-digit tractor feeder, a selection knob 6 is rotated clockwise, and the shaft part 2b is slidingly contracted. Then, after a fixing claw 5 moved to a fastening part 4a of a slit 4, the selection knob 6 is rotated counterclockwise to be fixed.
