Abstract
PURPOSE:To supply extremely small quantity of liquid with high accuracy by connecting a liquid supply syringe with a capillary holder provided with a capillary, a small diameter syringe and a large diameter syringe, etc., and connecting a driving syringe operated by a micrometer with a large diameter syringe. CONSTITUTION:A capillary 1d is inserted into a cell in the closing state of a cock 1j. Then, the micrometer is operated to move the plunger 3e of the driving syringe 3b by a shaft 3f as far as a specified moving distance. The large diameter plunger 1p of the large diameter syringe 1f is moved to approach to the small diameter syringe 1e to insert a small diameter plunger 1o, so that the liquid in the small diameter syringe 1e is injected into the cell through the capillary 1d. In this case, the injection quantity V of the liquid is shown as follows: V=AXDXC/B, where A, B and C (C<B) are the opening areas of respectively the driving, the large diameter and the small diameter syringe 3b, 1f, and 1e, and the D is the moving distance of the plunger 3e. The larger the difference between the opening areas B and C, the smaller the quantity of liquid is injected.
