Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain gaseous N2 having high purity by communicating an adsorption tank A which has completed adsorption with an adsorption tank B which has completed regeneration until the pressure in the both tanks become equal, then flowing produced N2 back to the tank B so as to elevate the pressure of the tank B, and carrying out adsorption by introducing raw gas into the B tank while performing regeneration process of the tank A by reducing the pressure of the tank A to 150Torr. CONSTITUTION:An outlet and an inlet of each adsorption tank A which has completed adsorption and those of an adsorption tank B which has completed regeneration are communicated respectively by opening a valve 11 and 12 and the operation of each tank is stopped before the pressure of both tanks are equalized. Then, produced N2 is flowed back from a produced gas storage tank 3 to the adsorption tank B. And, the pressure of the tank B is elevated to >=50% pressure of the highest pressure of the adsorption operation. Feed gas contg. >=78% N2 is then introduced into the tank B to adsorb O2 to molecular sieve coal obtg. thus product N2. On one hand, the pressure of the adsorption tank A is reduced to <=150Torr with a vacuum pump 4 after discharging to external atmosphere until the pressure attains near atmospheric pressure to perform then vacuum regeneration. Similar operation is performed by exchanging the tank A with the tank B.
