Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an electrolytic capacitor which is highly stable at high temperature by controlling the water content of electrolytic solution of ethylene glycol or gamma-butyrolactone, which contains dissolved maleic acid tetraethyl ammonium salt, to be under 1.6%. CONSTITUTION:Maleic acid tetraethyl ammonium salt is applied as a solute and dissolved to a solvent of either ethylene glycol or gamma-butyrolactone or the both to provide an electrolytic solution for driving. It is desirable that the maleic acid tetraethyl ammonium salt is acid salt and the water content in the electrolytic solution is controlled to be under 1.6% to minimize tandelta change. Then pH conditioner is used when the occasion demands to control pH of the electrolytic solution desirably to 4-8. more desirably to 5-7. According to this constitution, an electrolytic capacitor which is highly stable and has minimized impedance and tandelta change with a high temperature load can be acquired.
